The DPP-IV inhibitors are a very new class of drugs, and they are taken aspills.

The way that they work is by decreasing the breakdown of a substance youmake yourself -- everyone makes it.
作用機序は　皆さんが作る物質（インクレチンのことでしょうか）　の不活化を減らすことによります
And what this substance does is that it stimulates insulin secretion.
この物質の働きはインスリン分泌を刺激することです。
So what these drugs do is they essentially increase your ability to makeinsulin.
なのでこの薬の働きはインスリンを作る自身の能力を本質的に高めることであります。
They've been around not for very long.
それらは発売後そんな長くはたっていません
We don't know all that much about them since they were only approved in theyear 2007.

The drugs are taken, as I said, as pills, usually twice per day.

And they work by lowering your blood sugar.
